I wonder what went through the heads of the prisoners when they awaited their final punishment?
I can't imagine the fear and agony they must have felt. But one more group that had a living hell
was the friends and families of the accused ones. They were very much aware of what was going to
happen with their loved ones, and by fear of being wrongly accused they did not have the courage to
visit them one last time. But if they did take the chance to visit them, then maybe they said
something like this.
