In the West, there is a process in which the real decision-making centers are at risk of leaving politics. Please note that I am not interested in defending the profession of politics. Indeed, there is a danger that politics will become a superstructure on top of other, not open and not accountable centers of power. Politics, on the other hand, should be the high point of mediation in the common interest. If politics fails to do so, institutions fail and whoever has more economic power or more pressure wins, which is the same thing.
